The end is the beginning is the end

Hi Folks,

I am sorry to announce that due to a lot of different circumstances, Samuel Volan and I, have decided that our collaboration could not bring us positive things for the near future. In these kind of cases, people try to put the fault on each other. I do not want to enter in that type of things and just wish things might have been different.

Thanks to those who were there for our last date as a quatuor (Hasselt Play Festival and the Zebra Café show), we had a lot of artistic fun.

So what's next ? Well if you think that aMute could stop because of that you're wrong ! We have decided to assume the situation with a lot of positive energy and try to handle things in a more experimental way.

Lots of people have come to me these past few months telling me that aMute was better before the band type format... A lot of people also told me the oposite. I think we've reached a point where aMute might be a mix of both for the coming shows, the coming year and a coming new album. I personaly feel that new doors are now open for experimentalism, noise and sentiments.

Note that we are open for a new musician in the band, if possible a multi-instrumentist. We are still thinking :-)

The whole band would like to thank Samuel Volan sincerely for his presence in the band during these past 3 years, we've had a lot of joy and stress, happiness and doubts, smiles and questions but most of all we have shared a passion and we deeply wish him a promising future with his other projects.

See you at the Vooruit in Gent on the 24 of november.

Jérôme.
