As 2011 ends...

Hi everyone,

Just a few lines to tell you that I'll be playing the Botanique again on the 4th of February 2012. I wanted to rejoin a sort of band but neither the budget nor the time were allowing me to do so. Anyway I'll play solo.

I composed a new track which is part of a future album, it is available here and published on Thot's front man new label. It is called as an hommage to a certain person.

I'll be off the music world for more than a month too and I'll be living/working in Guadeloupe. 2011 was just like every other years for me : messy, fun and sometimes really boring and sad. I wish you all the best.

Cheers. Jay.

Hands on the master. Black Diamond Blues

Hey everyone,

So that's it folks, the end of a long process ! The new amute album, titled "Black Diamond Blues" is ready to leave my sweet home and maybe find yours soon as it goes in production tomorrow. The mastering is done, the cover is done, the website is done, the blog has a new design, I am working too and I am actually rehearsing like hell for the future shows (if they come). And as life is full of ups and downs let me tell you that I am already writting the follow up (well it's the early early stage, I just rearranged the studio).

I'm looking for shows through out Europe from now on, if you feel like having me play let me just tell you that I don't charge flights (so it's said). I think the future live shows will be a little different than what you used to see from me in the past. Most of them will be unique and a mix of improvisation and written stuff. Heavy is the word. Quiet is the noise.

Cheers, you'll updated soon.
Thanks to all who helped in the process by the way !

aMute's new album out on Humpty Dumpty Records in next september 2011 !

Hi folks, it seems like I'm surfing on some good vibes lately as my new album is confirmed to be out on the Belgian label Humpty Dumpty Records

What can you wait from it ? Well it's a solo record, it's a deep dark dive into a quite different world than before. It's noisy, strange and was made mostly with guitar amps/noisy keyboards/destroyed voices and no marijuana at all.

As said in the past postings all I can say is that I really wanted to reboot aMute, not only because I wanted to preserve myself from self destruction with the band but also because I feel like in some ways I may have lost the essence of the project while trying to have a recognition as a band. aMute is Jérôme Deuson will always be despite all the love, talent, friendship and creativity my past fellow partners had.

So now comes the mastering/cover art/duplication process.
September here I come ! Cheers folks !
